The series of four, 90-minute on-snow clinics offers kids ages 5 to 15
an exciting opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of sled dog racing in New England!
Choose one of four clinics which will entail discussions ranging from sled handling and different racing breeds involved in the sport - to harnesses, dog sleds and demonstrations on how equipment is used.
Clinics will be hosted by New England Sled Dog Club members Pam Lacombe-Connell and
14 year-old son Jacy Connell. Pam, a kennel owner and sled dog artist along with Jacy,
a 4-dog Sprint Racer since age 6, have been active throughout the state of
New Hampshire providing sled dog discussions and clinics to schools since 2003.
They will be accompanied by their faithful companions and lovely education assistants: "Khita"
(Siberian Husky), "Cooper" (Alaskan Husky) and "Beth" (Eurohound).
Sled dog clinics will be limited
to the first 8o kids to register
(20 kids per clinic). Cost of clinics are $20 per child.

“Kids who we have met over the years are so enthusiastic about mushing and sled dogs. They have a million questions that I love to be able to help answer as well as point them towards other avenues for mushing education.”
