2011/2012 King Pine Snowboard Team Season Recap

I can only begin to tell you how proud I am of all the King Pine Snowboard Team members this year. Team USASA results are indicative of how hard everyone worked this year. Every athlete has improved, excelled and surprised me multiple times throughout the season. This year we welcomed Harry Powers, John Henry Powers and Patch Gorman to the team. We also welcomed back 3-year team veterans Paige Sherwood, Erin Curran and Ally Norris-Parsons and 2-year veteran DJ White.
Some highlights from the season included (but not limited to):
- Visiting the Waterville Valley BBTS and training with them on their air bag
- Hosting a USASA Giant Slalom and Slalom race at King Pine
- USASA Nationals at Copper Mountain, CO
- Marky B Boarderfest at King Pine
- The awesome USASA Boarder Cross course at Sunday River, ME
- Space ships???
I am excited for and already looking forward to next season. All the King Pine Snowboard Team athletes have improved so much and I feel that I have learned a lot over this past season. Looking forward to seeing you all, new and old team members, next year!!!
