Like so many others, and the greater Mount Washington Valley community, we are crestfallen to see a local independent ski area make the decision to close. Having just celebrated our own 60th Anniversary last season, we recognize the history of Black Mountain, its contributions to the sport, and what it has meant to generations of skiers of our area, the state of New Hampshire, the greater New England ski community, and beyond.
As a fellow family-owned, independent ski area, we fully understand the challenges that Black Mountain, and the Fichera family, attribute to their decision to cease operations.
We also recognize that there are many Black Mountain faithful who may now be looking for affordable options this season. With that, in addition to announcing our available weekend seasonal and race team programs now open for registration, we are also reverting our season pass pricing back to our “Mid” tier rates and extending the deadline for those to now be Sunday, November 5, including the discounted Family 4-Pack season pass option that will not be available after that date.
