First-timers and families love our friendly, knowledgeable ski school and easy, gentle learning terrain, while more advanced skiers and snowboarders can explore our terrain park, steeper trails, and tree-skiing areas. King Pine also offers regular lift-serviced snowtubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating, family events, and apres ski fun.

Cross-Country Skiing: 

The Purity Spring XC and Snowshoe Reserve feature 20 km of ungroomed scenic trails that wind through forests surrounding Purity Lake and twist through tall pines in the adjacent New Hampshire Audubon Sanctuary. Cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals are available at the King Pine Rental Shop and lessons are available.

King Pine and Purity Spring offer 20 km of ungroomed snowshoe trails. Enjoy a scenic snowshoe hike through the on-site NH Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. For a more advanced adventure, hike to the Lookout Tower behind The Inn and continue to the top of Bald Ledge for stunning views of the region!

Tohko Dome Ice Skating:
Enjoy ice skating at our covered Zamboni-groomed Tohko Dome. The rink is located across the street from the King Pine base lodge and is well lit each night to 10 p.m. Skating is complementary for Purity Spring Resort guests or with a valid King Pine lift ticket. 

Pine Meadows Snowtubing Park:
Experience the fun of lift-serviced snowtubing down exciting snow chutes at our Pine Meadows Tubing Park!

King Pine Ski & Snowboard School:
Whether you're completely new to winter sports or just looking to improve your skills, King Pine’s PSIA and AASI-certified Ski & Snowboard School has a program for you, with private lessons and special programs throughout the season.

We welcome visits from the media and are happy to provide any assistance we can to help with your assignment. To coordinate your visit, please contact the Marketing Department, with your media affiliation, assignment details, and any specific needs you may have for your story. Whenever possible, we ask that you plan your visits during midweek, non-holiday periods. If you'd like to coordinate a visit to Purity Spring Resort, Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort, or another Hoyt Family of Business property in conjunction with your story, we are happy to reach out and coordinate on your behalf.

We are typically able to provide lift tickets for working media on assignment. We ask that you contact us directly at least two days prior to your visit, and be prepared to verify your media affiliation and story assignment. Depending on availability, we are able to offer complimentary or discounted lodging for working media members. Due to high occupancy rates, we typically are unable to provide lodging on weekend days or during holiday periods. If you are interested in hosting a photo shoot or video production at King Pine Ski Area, please let us know.

King Pine Ski Area Drone Policy

Out of safety and concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, King Pine Ski Area prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public - including recreational users and hobbyists - without the prior written authorization from the Resort. the prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operation above or within King Pine Ski Area boundaries. Please contact a resort representative if you have any questions or if you seek prior authorization to operate any aerial drones. Any authorized operation of aerial drones may be governed by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, local law enforcement, as well as those policies separately established by this Resort, which may include certification, training, insurance coverage, indemnification requirements, and waivers or releases of liability. Any violation of this policy may involve suspension of your skiing or snowboarding privileges, or the revocation of your season pass, as well as confiscation of any drone equipment, and may subject violators to any damages, including, but not limited to, damages for violations of privacy and/or physical or personal injuries or property damage, as well as regulatory fines and legal fees.
