KING PINE SET TO WELCOME BACK GUESTS FOR ANOTHER WINTER SEASON

East Madison, N.H. (November 12, 2015)—King Pine Ski Area at Purity Spring Resort will once again welcome back families and friends from across the region when it opens on Friday, December 11, 2015. Full Release (PDF).

 

King Pine Ski Area Offers Winter Value to Skiers during the 2015/2016 Season

Resort Facts

Guests enjoy alpine skiing and snowboarding with 17 downhill trails and a full-service PSIA-certified ski and snowboard school, rentals, clinics and special events.

Nordic Skiing: 
The Purity Spring XC and Snowshoe Reserve features 22 km of scenic trails that wind through forests surrounding Purity Lake and twist through tall pines in the adjacent New Hampshire Audubon Sanctuary. 15 km’s of our trail network are tracked and skate groomed allowing classic and skate skiing options. Nordic ski and snowshoe rentals are available at the King Pine Rental Shop and lessons are available. The Nordic trails interconnect with Purity Spring Resort lodging and dining at Traditions Restaurant and Pub. 

Snowshoeing: 
King Pine and Purity Spring offer 28 km of groomed and ungroomed snowshoe trails. Enjoy a scenic snowshoe hike through the on-site NH Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. For a more advanced adventure, hike to the Lookout Tower behind The Inn and continue to the top of Bald Ledge for stunning views of the region!
 
Night Skiing:
Night skiing is available every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evening from 4 PM-9 PM. Night skiing is also available each night during the holiday periods. NEW! Non-holiday Tuesday nights is $10 Tuesday Night 4PM-9PM lift ticket! BONUS! $10 ski and snowboard lessons, $10 rental equipment and $10 burger & beer* at the Trail's End Tavern with a valid Tuesday night lift ticket! *Must be 21 years of age with valid photo id. Some restrictions apply. Limit one per person. Save with the Moonlight Family 4-pack - a family of four can ski for just $58!    

Tohko Dome Ice Skating:
Enjoy ice skating at our covered Zamboni-groomed Tohko Dome. The rink is located across the street from the King Pine base lodge and is well lit each night through 10 PM. Skating is complementary for Purity Spring Resort guests or with a valid King Pine lift ticket. 

Horse-drawn Sleigh Rides:
Guest can enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy fields and trails around Purity Spring Resort. Rides typically last 25-30 minutes and will take you from open fields and pastures, through spruce-lined and back-country trails around Purity Spring Resort. Every Saturday evening (weather permitting) - Rides are available beginning at 5:30 PM. Additional sleigh rides are offered during holiday periods. 

Pine Meadows Snowtubing Park:
Experience the fun of lift-serviced snowtubing down exciting snow chutes at our Pine Meadows Tubing Park!

King Pine Ski & Snowboard School:
Whether you're completely new to winter sports or just looking to improve your skills, King Pine’s PSIA-certified Ski & Snowboard School has a program for you, with private lessons and special programs throughout the season.

King Pine Ski Area Drone Policy

Out of safety and concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, King Pine Ski Area prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public - including recreational users and hobbyists - without the prior written authorization from the Resort. the prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operation above or within King Pine Ski Area boundaries. Please contact a resort representative if you have any questions or if you seek prior authorization to operate any aerial drones. Any authorized operation of aerial drones may be governed by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, local law enforcement, as well as those policies separately established by this Resort, which may include certification, training, insurance coverage, indemnification requirements, and waivers or releases of liability. Any violation of this policy may involve suspension of your skiing or snowboarding privileges, or the revocation of your season pass, as well as confiscation of any drone equipment, and may subject violators to any damages, including, but not limited to, damages for violations of privacy and/or physical or personal injuries or property damage, as well as regulatory fines and legal fees.
