Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides For 2018/19 Season

When: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Every Saturday starting December 29, 2018 through February 23, 2019 | Additional dates include: Sunday, January 20, Tuesday, February 19 & Thursday, February 21, 2019.

Cost: $25 Age 13+ | $15 Age 12 and under - Space is limited and reservations are recommended to reserve available seats, please call our main office at 603-367-8896 to reserve your spot.

Enjoy the classic experience of riding among surrounding fields and within wooded trails in a horse-driven sleigh. A unique winter fun outing for families and friends of all ages. In addition to the approximate 15-20 minute ride in the sleigh, we invite you to warm yourself by an outdoor fire before and after your ride and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.

Where: Parking and rides begin and end at an outdoor location approximately one mile south of King Pine / half-mile south Purity Spring Resort on Route 153. Entrance to parking area is on the south-bound side of Route 153 and noticeable signing will be out during operating times.

 


Tohko Dome Ice Skating

Rental skates are available at the King Pine Rental & Tune Shop.

  • Skating $6 for the public.
  • Skating is complimentary for Purity Spring Resort lodging guests or with a valid King Pine lift ticket

Conveniently located just across the street from the King Pine base lodge, The Tohko Dome skating rink opens at 8:30 a.m. daily. In the evening, the Tohko Dome is well-lit and remains open through 9:30 p.m. midweek and 10:30 p.m. on weekends and vacation periods. Rules are posted at the rink. Ice hockey is prohibited. Ice skate rentals are available at the King Pine Rental & Tune Shop. Afterhours, rentals can be returned to the Tavern at King Pine or the main desk at Purity Spring.

 


Snowshoeing

Explore the quiet forests around Purity Spring Resort. Enjoy an easy winter hike through our extensive trail network or explore the on-site NH Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. Snowshoeing at King Pine and Purity Spring Resort on backcountry trails is no cost, however a trail pass is required for our groomed trail network. Access to our groomed snowshoe trail network is included with every lift ticket (valid for date on ticket) or see the rates page for available Snowshoe trail pass. Snowshoe rentals are available at the King Pine Rental & Tune Shop.

Snowshoe Tours - Join one of our experienced guides and take in the tall pines and soft woodland sounds with views of King Pine Ski Area in the distance as you experience the serene trails and NH Audubon Hoyt Wildlife Sanctuary at Purity Spring Resort and along Purity Lake. As the winter moon rises, experience one of our guided moonlight snowshoe tours. 

Saturday Snowshoe Tours 2 p.m. - From Saturday, December 29 to Saturday, March 23, guided snowshoe tours are available on Saturdays at 2 p.m. and are $12 per person (rental equipment not included). Interested participants are asked to sign-up and meet at The Mill Main Office (also Pool & Fitness) at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour. If rental equipment is needed, there is an additional cost and please allow yourself enough time go to our rental shop located in the King Pine base lodge well prior to the time you need to meet at The Mill before the start of the tour.

Seasonal Moonlight Tours 7 p.m. -  On select dates indicated below, guided moonlight snowshoe tours are available at 7 p.m. and are $20 per person (rental equipment not included). Interested participants are asked to sign-up and meet at The Mill Main Office (also Pool & Fitness) at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour. If rental equipment is needed, there is an additional cost and please allow yourself enough time go to our rental shop located in the King Pine base lodge well prior to the time you need to meet at The Mill before the start of the tour.
