King Pine has been recognized as the #2 Beginner Friendly and #5 Family Friendly ski areas in the North East, winning 2016-17 Best in Snow Awards, Powered by Liftopia.

Approximately 20 ski instructors will be at King Pine Ski Area this weekend seeking their Alpine Level 1 certification from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). Examiners from the Eastern Division of PSIA will spend two days evaluating the candidates against national certification standards for ski teaching.

Fifteen U.S. ski racing clubs were awarded a total of $54,500 in Ski Racing Safety Grants to purchase safety netting to line training and racing courses. Recipients included the racing program at King Pine Ski Area at Purity Spring Resort in East Madison, New Hampshire.

King Pine Ski Area at Purity Spring Resort was the first in New Hampshire to be 100% open operating its available 6 lifts servicing all 17 groomed trails Monday morning, December 26. Long known for its family-friendly atmosphere, affordability, ski school and race programs, King Pine has also become recognized for its consistent snow conditions, quality grooming and snowmaking capabilities. Favorable fall and early-winter cold temperatures contributed to extensive snowmaking allowing King Pine to have all of its lift-serviced skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing open.

 Proceeds from this years Cynthia’s Challenge benefit Kevin Dall of Tamworth, NH, a 10 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy.

The 3rd Annual Cynthia's Challenge, a 24 hour ski-a-thon at King Pine Ski Area, raises $61,000 to date. Proceeds from this years Cynthia’s Challenge benefit Kevin Dall of Tamworth, NH, a 10 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy.

Cynthia’s Challenge was created in an effort to help ease the financial burden of children and their families encountering the staggering expenses associated with specialty medical needs. King Pine Ski Area supports Cynthia’s Challenge by hosting a 24 hour ski-a-thon with the support of local business and the community.

Maya grew up racing on the King Pine Race Team and is now a sophomore at Kennett High and has the opportunity to compete against the best U18's in the country!
