King Pine Snow Conditions and Winter Activity Report

LAST UPDATED: Monday, March 8 | 1:30 p.m.

COMMENTS: **Update 1:30 p.m. - The Powder Bear lift will be closed midweek and operate weekends only for the remainder of the season. All trails remain accessible from the Polar Bear lift.** The sunshine button is on repeat, so come on out to enjoy midweek ticket rates and get your spring goggle tan on! Lifts are scheduled to operate 9 a.m.-6 p.m. (Black Bear and backside trails close at 4 p.m.). All trails are set to be open and scheduled to be groomed nightly rejuvenating surfaces and laying down crisp, fast, loose and frozen granular corduroy that will soften through the day with warming temps and sunshine. Use caution when approaching ungroomed terrain and tree skiing areas on account surfaces can be firm or hazards may be hidden. Freestyle terrain box/rail elements on Crooked Pine and the jump on West Slope will be open. We recommend purchasing all tickets, rentals and snow sports lessons well in advance of your planned visit as we can sell out and "day of" purchases may not be possible on busier days.

The Purity Spring Resort XC & Snowshoe Reserve Nordic trails are all open, but conditions remain variable depending on daytime sun, temperatures and when we have opportunities to groom with our snowmobile tow-behind groomer. Conditions for snowshoeing will continue to vary too with surfaces beginning the day firm and softening through the day with sun exposure and temperatures going above freezing. The Tohko Dome Ice Skating rink is open and the ice is nice!

IMPORTANT: view, read and understand current COVID operating information to understand your responsibilities and requirements. Keep face coverings on at all times outdoors upon arriving and also indoors unless seated actively eating/drinking. Please understand all base lodge access limitations including no storage in base lodge for bags/items and only food & beverages purchased here allowed (no "brown bagging" your own food inside). You will want to continue to refer to this information before every visit you plan to make this season so that you are aware of the latest updates. We recommend you "know before you go" because the industry needs you to be the reason we continue to have a ski well, be well and stay kind.

Ice House Gift Shop: Open daily, but if you can't make it in, you can now view King Pine logo wear, soft goods and more and order via email or by phone for curb-side pick-up or pay to have shipped to your home. Visit for more info and links.

Rental Shop: We are no longer able to accommodate "day of" alpine ski or snowboard rental purchases on Saturdays or during peak periods. We recommend reserving your rental equipment needs online prior to the day you are planning to visit.
