King Pine is currently closed and is scheduled to open for winter operations Friday, December 16. Snowing and blowing, our snowmaking crews got to work last Sunday night and old man winter even joined the effort providing 3" of new snow. As we look ahead to opening day, snowmaking operations will continue at all times between now and then conditions permitting with the effort to have as much open terrain as possible to start our season. Snowmakers have started off the making snow on Pine Spills, King Pine, Knotty Pine and East Slope. We'll continue to update as we get progress updates.
Opening Day, Friday December 16, Noon - 7 p.m. - Join us as we kick off our season and ski/ride all day for only $20! Even better, help us help others and donate non-perishable food items on opening day and we'll take a $1 off our already low opening day rate for each item received ($5 discount per person max). A donation box will be set up near the Guest Services desk at King Pine. Donations will be given to the local food pantries for the holiday season. Non-perishable food items will be collected all weekend.
The Purity Spring XC & Snowshoe Reserve features 28km of scenic trails that wind through the forests around Purity Lake, traverse through the grounds of Purity Spring Resort and twist through tall pines in the adjacent Hoyt/Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. Also this season, experience the fun of lift-serviced snowtubing down exciting snow chutes at our Pine Meadows Tubing Park, enjoy ice-skating in the Tohko Dome or snowshoe the quiet forests around Purity Spring Resort. Check-in for updates as our season gets underway to know the operating status and conditions of all the available fun activities here.
