King Pine Snow Conditions and Winter Activity Report

LAST UPDATED: Wednesday, December 4 | 11:00 a.m.

HOURS: Currently closed. Snowmaking has begun and opening day is scheduled for Friday, December 13. Check back for more details as we get closer to that date.

It wasn't as much snow as we hoped for, but the few inches of snow that did accumulate as a result of the Monday/Tuesday storm has sure made it look more seasonable. After that, our snowmaking crews started up their efforts again and will continue at every chance conditions are favorable as we look ahead to our opening day. Initial snowmaking was focused on King Pine, upper White Pine, Pine Spills, Knotty Pine, Red Pine, East Slope, the Cubby Tow area slope as well as our general summit and base areas, but has since moved on to other trails including Jack Pine as well as the Pine Meadows Tubing Park. As significant amounts of snow are laid down to last all season, the snowmaking crew will move on to other trails and as is always the effort for our snowmakers, King Pine will be working to be among the first in New Hampshire to be 100% open all trails as early as possible.

If you are interested in any Ski School reservations, please note that we will begin accepting and taking calls for those on or after the ski area is open Friday, December 13.

Also, we're still hiring and welcoming new members of the greater King Pine team and we're always looking to add quality candidates. For more details on current positions, visit our employment page at Purity Spring Resort to see job listings for King Pine and other Hoyt Family businesses.
