King Pine Snow Conditions and Winter Activity Report

Last Updated: Saturday, February 25, 2017 - 3:45 p.m.

TODAY'S HOURS: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (SUNDAY'S HOURS: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

COMMENTS: Happy weekend, we're having another spring-like skiing day, so come enjoy soft, warm conditions! We remain 100% open spinning 5 lifts servicing all 17 open trails (3 lifts and 10 trails for night skiing) and snowtubing too. Don't forget our Saturday night Moonlight 4-pack, gather up your friends or family and get 4 night lift tickets (4-9 p.m.) for only $66! Our groomers are out there every night rejuvenating surfaces and have laid down smooth corduroy on 14 of 17 trails, leaving Jack PIne, Pine Brule and Pitch Pine ungroomed with the latter two offering bump lines that will soften through the day. With the stretch of spring-like warm daytime temps and cool nights, the day begins with conditions potentially more firm before softening and surfaces are a mix of machine-groomed and and loose granular snow. It's the same for ungroomed trails and terrain too, you'll want to give it a chance to soften before shredding it up. The Twisted Pine Terrain Park via Scotch Pine has 12 rail/box elements and snow rollers and there is one larger jump on skier's right of lower East Slope. Visit the Terrain Park page to see more information and elements. With the comfortable daytime temperatures, it's a great time to learn or dial-in your technique in bumps and spring-like snow and take advantage of our top notch ski school services daily including children's programs, Learn To Ski or Snowboard and private lessons.

The Purity Spring Resort XC & Snowshoe Reserve is offering a 28km network of freshly, machine-groomed skate and track surfaces with 10-18" base depth of machine-groomed, loose granular snow as well as 20+km of snowshoe trails. Join us for a Guided Snowshoe Tours every Saturday at 2 p.m. The Pine Meadows Tubing Park is scheduled to be open for regular hours. The Tohko Dome Ice Skating Rink will be closed today because of the warm temps, but we'll get it right back in to shape when colder temps return later this week. Our rental shop is here to provide you all the skiing, snowboarding, nordic, snowshoeing and ice-skating equipment you may need and our tune shop is ready to keep the gear you own sharp and in top shape.
